With unlimited access to information via the Internet, it's never been more important to think critically and ask the right questions. In all my classes, we begin with the inspiration of Socrates, by asking questions and challenging our assumptions. I am not interested in teaching students what to think, but rather, how to think, and then how to express that thinking in effective language.
While rigorous academics are at the core of all we do, we hold out the hope – and expectation – for more. Magic happens when students think deeply and share their ideas with each other; education can be empowering and transformative.
